Frequently Asked Questions » Customizing your GamesTV
Since we provide a variety of different services in multiple games we tried to make the page as customizable as possible. This way you can adjust what information is displayed, plus you can alter they way it is displayed.
First of all, you will need a user account to do so. Registration takes only a minute and is free.
Profile
You can change your homepage which will be shown in your profile. This may be your clanpage or some other page you're involved with.
Also, you can enter your Quakenet Auth (please don't enter the password, JUST the auth). While this is required for staff members only at this moment, we're planning on adding features which will provide information not just over the page but also in IRC.
Display Settings
Starting with your personal settings, you can decide whether or not your email address should be visible to the public.
By unchecking the "Recieve PM's" box you can decide not to receive pm's from any other member. You can also chose to keep a copy of all sent pm's in your outbox. If you don't do that, pm's will be deleted from your outbox as soon as the recipient has read it.
First point in your display settings is the "linkstyle". Here you can select in which way you want to see the ip's of radio/video/tv servers in events:
The following options allow you to set the number of items you want to see in your menu boxes. By selecting "8" news, you will see the 8 latest news items in the news box and so on. This is pretty self-explanatory.
Timezone
Since we show a lot of time related information we implemented full timezone support. You'll see the most common timezones listed; in case yours is not in that list just go to the full list (link below the list) where you should find it (if not, you're not living on earth).
The entire page will show dates and times in your local timezone now, so you'll never again be confused by events taking place too early or "timetraveling" people who write comments in the future ;)
My Games
We understand that you will most likely not be interested in all the games we broadcast on this page, so you can easily filter out items you do not want to see.
Just uncheck the games you don't care about, and they will not longer trouble you.
Menu Organiser
Last but not least, you can customize your menu blocks. Maybe you don't care about the latest comments or just don't want to see the latest blogs. Here you can disable boxes or move their positions any way you want (you won't be able to hide the ads though ;)
Also, if you're browsing with a low resolution and feel that there's too less space for the content; you can move all boxes to one side. This will completely disable the other menu block and give the content much more space to display.
We hope this will make your stay more enjoyable and speed up the process of gathering the information you need.
