imo qtv is better :| just look at the amount of slots :>
slots as in how amny 1 ettv can hold or slots compared to the et matches?
thats a typical Quantity > Quality aproach - ettv has much more abilities, thats why it needs much more server cpu power
Q3 GTV is different to Wolf GTV - it has pretty much the same user features.
q3 gtv, the same as wtv is not "aware" of its connected clients, it is simply sending the same packets the cam man saw to all connected clients.
This is pretty much packet relay and uses about the same resources as a teamspeak server *lol*
ETTV servers are aware of their clients - every client is getting a specifially for this one client generated "world" - meaning everything he needs to know around him (you can notice the effect of disapearing items in freefloat with clientdemos) - thats the stuff that is simply not sent.
Also ETTV is relaying ALL ineyes, not only one.
Thats what makes ettv much more cpu intensive - but i'd really not want to miss those features.

I don't know why arni doesn't have a "reply"-button, so I'm just gonna reply to Nellie.
q3's gtv combined with cpma's multiview gives you exactly what ettv does.
Every user is able to see every pov. In duels this means: on the "main" screen you see the current pov and in a small window you see the other guys pov. And by hitting space you'll switch the two views.
edit:
That's a difference of one hour, eventough I think I've set the right timezone (gmt+1)?

i dont have a reply button because that would make the comment structure deeper than 4 - thats not allowed due to layout problems.
yes: the multiview stuff works for Q3 because its generally smaller maps and hardly any interactive objects - et cant always send the whole world because it would simply be too much data

Exactly - but to say "thats a typical Quantity > Quality aproach" is not true, as Q3 GTV has all the features you need.
thats not what i tried to say:
i was saying that because people suggested to make ettv like q3-gtv to reduce server load and thus increase slots per server - but that would reduce the quality of ettv and thats why i made that comment.
