Frequently Asked Questions » Managing Your Match
Each Match on GamesTV.org has a Match Manager. In most cases this will be the person who requested the match coverage.
It is the Match Manager's responsibility to ensure from start to finish all information is provided and kept upto date to enable the match and any associated broadcasts to take place.
This is how you do it:-
Having requested coverage of a match you will now see something that looks like the following
You will also see that the match is listed in the pending broadcasts box to the right of the screen
Below you will see the Admins Infos section.
The information that needs to be provided by the match manager falls into 2 categories:-
1.Required - Matchserver details / Score
2.Nice to have - Lineups / Extra info
Required
For every match to take place a matchserver is essential. The matchserver must be upto date with all mods / maps / configs and be fully compatable with the broadcast system for that game!
If you have your own matchserver for use for the event then you can add it by providing the details as stated below, if you would prefer or need GamesTV.org to provide a matchserver then one will be added to the match page on the day of the match!
For using your own matchserver you must provide:-
1.Server IP:Port Enter these and click the green tick.
2.Server name (if it is not resolved by GamesTV)
3.Relay slots The number of slots available for broadcast servers to join the matchserver
4.Password The main password to join the matchserver
5.Relay Password The password required by the broadcast servers to join the matchserver
You should now see the Matchserver details displayed in Admin Infos on the match page.
Next up you can click on the Edit Match icon at the top of the page
You will now be presented with the following screen
The first part has the Date and time information and allows for a match to be moved or rescheduled
You can now enter the lineups from the teams with the respective 2 letter country code and later, after tha match, enter the scores!
Add the maps if / when they are known.
If the match is part of a competition that allocates private IRC match channels enter that match channel. If no match channel is specified by the competition and you require a private match channel just hit the "Generate" icon next to the box for an auto-generated private match channel.
And finally the match status, where you can cancel or finish the match.
Aditional Info about the match can be entered into the match using the Edit Matchinformation icon
This info will be displayed underneath the lineups on the main match page.
Please note that even though your match information may now be complete, it is only added to the upcoming broadcasts list as and when a broadcaster adds a broadcast server.
All that is left to do is to update the score and change the match status to finished after the game.
