eSports Media group and Octshape join forces together with Radio Inside The Game ( ITG ) delivering live streaming from the NGL finals, Kode5 Quake4 finals, i28 and World Cyber Games UK finals this weekend 25th â 27th.
The event is held at Games Convention in Leipzig Germany which is the largest games expo in Europe. Expectations are high, where they are expecting more then 150.000 people to attend the event .
eSports Media group ( EMG ) and Octoshape have colaborated earlier in similar activities during a open beta test for the WEG masters event in China earlier this year, that was streamed live on www.esport.org .
Now they have taken a step further introducing a totaly new distribution method with an other partner joining the boat in Radio ITG . This time there will be multiplied channels around the world through specific website partners that will deliver the content and technology platform.
âThis is will be very interesting test, we have earlier reviewed the octoshape technology for sometime now and I must say the more familiar I get with it the more amazed I am.I have been working with esports for a long time with teams, event organizers, media ,sponsors and there is one common problem, demand is higher then supply. My dream is to be able to deliver esports to as many people as possible, and octoshape grants us that possiblity. Therefore its important for us to distribute the content in an accessible way through out partners. Streaming has been known for beeing a quite limited media where high audience is equal to high costs. With the bit torrent similar technology from octoshape p2p gridnetwork this is no more.â
Said Johan âvesslanâ Ryman CEO of EMG
âI also must say it will great fun to have the oppertunity to work together with Radio ITG , I have known Marcus âDJWheatâ since summer 2005 where we had a small cooperation in delivering ESWC 2005 together and that was a nice experience opening the door for this, and working together like this I think is very important for bringing esports further . I think alot of companies and organisations in esports are trying to protect market share in a market that really doesn`t exist yet, We strongly belive in working together with other esports organisations is a keystone in rapid esports developtment.â
Paul âredyeâ Chaloner, Project Manager for Inside the Game had this to say about the new arrangement.
âWe are very excited to be working with award winning technology and whilst this is a test agreement, we are looking forward to working with Octoshape to make this a successful test. We would also be very interested in getting as much feedback from those who tune in over the weekend via our forums.â
