In October 2005 the ESL launched the ESL Aequitas system as their very own Anti-Cheat Tool. Since then it has done great things for steam based games, hundreds of cheaters have been caught. Now we are taking the next step and are adding two new games to the list. The two new games to be featured are Warcraft 3 and Call of Duty 2.
Both games will have special modules, adjusted to the game, next to the known screenshots etc. With this step all the known public cheats will be stopped but also the Anti-Aequitas and Private Hacks, just like in Counter-Strike we will have no mercy. When this new step has been made more games will quickly follow but we have not decided yet as to which games these are.
The Enemy Territory admins of the ESL will ofcourse do their best to get our game supported by Aequitas as soon as possible to make another big step against cheaters within our community.
Aequitas is well known in the Counter Strike competition, busting monthly hundred of cheaters by getting updated regulary and making sure it's running. It will be the best addition to punkbuster which is possible. Aequitas proved hacks will not be easy to make and organisation known from the fusen gate thingy in January will have it very hard to get themself up against this tool.
With Punkbuster, Punksbusted and PBBans the ESL has already banned around hundred cheaters in the last month. With our upcoming Summer Series we will present you the cleanest cup possible out there and still hope for more Signups. Find all details in this announcement post.
